Wastewater Plant Superintendent The Village of Bellaire is excited to announce an opening for the position of Wastewater Plant Superintendent/ DPW worker. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the effective operation and maintenance of our wastewater treatment system along with the daily DPW tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant community and a supportive village team. Possession of a Class C wastewater license with the state of Michigan is required. Full Time DPW Worker The Village of Bellaire is accepting applications for an at-will, full-time position with the Department of Public Works. The Village of Bellaire offers a competitive wage scale, health insurance, and a defined contribution retirement plan. Applicant must be mechanically inclined; must possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License with class B CDL or be eligible for a CDL; must be able to work in all weather conditions, be self-motivated, be customer service oriented and be able to work independently. S3 Water or Class C Wastewater License holders are encouraged to apply. Applicant must be willing to submit to drug screening and a criminal background check. Village Council Trustee The Village of Bellaire is seeking interested and qualified individuals to fill a vacant position on the Village Council. The Village Council holds its regularly scheduled meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. Responsibilities include: Attend and participate in regular and special village council meetings.Help set village policies and goals.Engage with constituents and represent their concerns.Review and approve the Village's budget.Serve the community and contribute to its development. Qualifications:Must be a resident of the Village of Bellaire.Be at least 18 years of age. The Village Council will review applications and may invite candidates to a special meeting or request attendance at the next scheduled regular meeting. The council will appoint a candidate to fill the vacancy. The appointee serves until the next regularly scheduled election. Important Notes:This position is to fill a vacancy for the remainder of the current term.A newly elected or appointed trustee will review the village's rules and policies. Individuals interested in being considered for this vacancy should submit an application form.
